Hygiene Policy

Reducing the risk of bacterial and viral infection in the commons is a shared responsibility: everyone needs to do their part. No organization can guarantee an environment free of germs, and even with policy and protocols, it is still possible that people could contract a disease. However, by collectively taking precautions, we can promote each other’s health and well-being.

To attend class or events with EastWest Works, each individual must follow hygienic routines before and during attendance. To ensure against disease transmission, and by attending you attest that you will be diligent in monitoring your health and take absence if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, or are sick. A symptom list can be found here: CDC Flu+ Symptoms.

When meeting in-person all persons are expected to wash their hands regularly, especially before and after going to the bathroom, and eating. Wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing; use a tissue when blowing the nose, and wash or sanitize hands afterwards. Individuals may optionally mask up, and practice other hygienic recommendations by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

This policy and its expectations apply continuously and may be revised from time to time. If you have any questions about our health and hygiene standards, please contact us.
